2.1. Learning goals

  1. It analyzes the specific difficulties and characteristics of learning Economics and Business area.
  2. It deeps in the competences and knowledge included in Economics and Business area to evaluate and select the most relevant strategies for the approach of their learning.
  3. To design activities for the learning of the competences and knowledge that are considered representative for the subject of Economy and Business area.
  4. To design and elaborate the necessary resources for the configuration of a learning environment for the designed activities.
  5. To manage and guide the learning process through the development of activities using collaborative work within the framework of active methodologies.

3.1. Aims of the course

  1. To know and understand the characteristics of the Economic area.
  2. To design and elaborate relevant didactic contents through the analysis of the curriculum of the subjects attached to the Economic area.
  3. To design and elaborate a didactic program, didactic units and teaching-learning activities through the inclusion of innovative elements.
  4. To know and evaluate different innovative methodologies for their direct application in the classroom.

5.1. Methodological overview

The methodology followed in this course is oriented towards achievement of the learning objectives. A wide range of teaching and learning tasks are implemented, such as lectures, where the contents will be presented with the support of audiovisual resources and written documents, taking as reference the educational policy of the Government of Aragon, and through real references of the aspects that the Economic teachers must carry out as teachers. Other methodologies will be used, among others, Project-Based Learning, Flipped Classroom, Gamification and Visual Thinking, among others.

Classroom materials will be available via Moodle. These include a repository of the lecture notes used in class, the course syllabus, as well as other course-specific learning materials.

5.2. Learning tasks

Learning tasks will use different elements of the curriculum in the class so that the student is able to create innovative didactic activities taking into account the curriculum. Students will also design didactic activities based on different didactic methodologies as well as didactic activities that enhance the motivation in the classroom.

5.3. Syllabus

The course will address the following topics:

  1. Analysis of the characteristics and difficulties of learning Economy and Business areas.
  2. Competences and contents included in the subject of Economics and Business.
  3. The teaching-learning process (didactic programming and design of didactic units)
  4. Didactic methodologies and motivation.
  5. Design of learning activities.

5.4. Course planning and calendar

Teaching sessions will take place in a computer room where each student has a computer connected to the Internet,  the computer teacher, and video canon.
